DIED AS TIBETANS

Shrouded in the ominous cloud of Chinese deceit
The world press acknowledges not
That thousands of Tibetans died
In the earthquake that demolished Kyigudo
The land of the brave Tibetan Khampas

Though they have lived as Tibetans
The world buries them as Chinese

Under tyranny, with pride they lived as Tibetans
In the rubble, with dignity they died as Tibetans
And while the world's silence will live in infamy
Tibetan souls will rise up in perpetuity
To reclaim the sacred land that was always theirs
